Bridgeport Hospital Foundation
Bridgeport Hospital Foundation is the fundraising entity of Bridgeport Hospital. Established in 1988, the Foundation also guides the development activities of Ahlbin Rehabilitation Centers, The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center and United Visiting Nurse Association.
The mission of the Bridgeport Hospital Foundation is to encourage philanthropic involvement from the community to preserve and enhance the financial well being of Bridgeport Hospital and its affiliate organizations.
Gifts to the Foundation provide the necessary financial resources for clinical program advancement; the purchase of state-of-the-art medical equipment; construction and renovation of facilities; health education programs for patients, employees and the community; and other BHHS-sponsored projects. Contributions enable the Foundation to fund organizational needs that cannot be funded out of operating revenue from patient charges.
